Step 2 — Upload ASC Timetable XML

Upload the latest asctt2012*.xml file from aSc Timetables. The app reads teachers, classes, subjects, and which teacher is busy in which period.

Step 3 — Datesheet

Enter the exam schedule. One row per (date, class). Use REGULAR if a class has no exam that day, and OFF for pre-primary weekly off.

Tip: click Pre-fill PT-1 2026-27 to load the schedule extracted from your WhatsApp datesheet (21-26 May 2026).

Step 4 — Room Geometry

Each classroom has 3 rows of benches, each row holds 5 or 6 benches (max 6). Each bench seats 2 students.

Step 5 — Sitting & Invigilator Policy

Pick a policy preset, or open Advanced rules to fine-tune. Mother teachers (Nursery/I/II) are auto-detected from the timetable and held with their own kids.

Step 6 — Generate Sitting Plan

Click Generate. The algorithm will:

1. For each exam date, assign every student to a bench (row × column)
2. Pick an invigilator per room, respecting timetable conflicts and your soft preferences
3. Detect capacity overruns (room too small for the section's strength)
4. Show a preview here

Step 7 — Download

Download all DOCX artefacts as a ZIP. Inside the ZIP, files are organized by date.
